Chi Sigma Becomes Sigma Chi On National Recognition
Chi Sigma, the original Alpha Beta Chapter, completed steps for national recognition as Sigma Chi on Monday February 4. After extensive petitions and votes by Grand Chapter and Grand Council, the chapter earned accreditation culminating a long effort in campus scholarship and intramural competition.

Richmond College to Build Dorm for 80 Men in 1959
Dr. George M. Modlin announced at the Richmond College board meeting that the University of Richmond will construct a $400,000 dormitory to house 80 students near Jeter Hall. The building will include a 16 bed infirmary, a lounge, guest rooms, and staff quarters, and is expected to be ready before September 1959, increasing housing to 400 men across four permanent dormitories and three temporary wooden buildings.
