Richmond College Debaters Spark Merry Night at Opening

The Mhiliginn and Mu Sigma Rho societies held a lively opening night at Richmond College spotlighting a debate on whether it is wise to marry before leaving college. Judges favored the negative led by Mosers Northern and Simpson, with Dean Lovie and Dean Kelley weighing in. The program included oration by J. B. Mincannon, music by Miss Wlews and the Uke Club, plus performances by Miss Bessie Mae Dudley and others, ending with humor and a patriotic touch referencing John J. Pershing.

Cortillion Club Inaugurates Program At Woman's Club

The Cortillion Club opened its inaugural program at the Woman's Club on January 24 with the Curtis Jordan orchestra providing music. Punch was served. chaperones included Dr and Mrs Handy and Mrs Armstrong among others. Several dozen dancers attended the evening though OCR list of names includes many typographical errors.
