Voice of the University of Richmond radio guild seeks volunteers

WRNL airs campus talent every Sunday at 5 under The Voice of the University of Richmond. The University Radio Guild, formed in October, invites students and departments to contribute programs featuring groups like the Jeters, the Collegians, and the choir. Members include Jim Berrow, Carl Langley, Emily Tucker, Patsy Bicker staff, Tommy Baer, Shirley Satterfield. sponsor Mr. Joseph Garner.

Essay contest offers book as first prize on Spain

The Philo logian Messenger contest awards Spain A Modern History by Salvadore de Madariaga as first prize donated by Frederick A. Praeger Inc. Entries on current social and political problems are due February 1. Junior and Senior Orchesis on campus plan a January 9 8 00 recital in Keller Hall gymnasium The program opens with Child Play a playful dance by the Junior group followed by Summit Conference a student choreographed piece by Ann Paige Jones Anne Norris Myers and Frankie Mc Gowan depicting various countries of the United Nations Frankie McGowan Libby Haddock perform Graveyard Jubilee An abstract number The Dream features a score by Dr Roy F Jesson and last a folk dance by peasant girls Choreography primarily by Mrs Frances Wessels with two student pieces included.

Artur Rubenstein to Present Concert at Mosque

Both Schools To Hire Band For Spring Dance

Representatives from Richmond College Senate and William and Mary College Assembly met on Tuesday December 17 to plan the Spring Dance. No band was chosen yet as both student governments will pool funds to hire a band and will review New York agents' lists in January.

Tryouts for Musical Extravaganza in West End Richmond

A community center fundraiser organized by the West End Tri-Club sponsors a two day musical at Thomas Jefferson High School auditorium on January 23 and 24. Interested participants must contact Mrs James Minor Jr by January 4 to receive audition instructions. Proceeds go to raise funds for a West End Richmond center serving local services.
