Snow Ball Set For Tomorrow At Keller Hall Gym

The annual Snow Ball, a card dance from 9 to 12 p m Saturday in Keller Hall gymnasium Westhampton College, features Kenneth Henderson and his orchestra. The Athletic Association hosts the event with decorative winter scenes and eight card dances. Receiving line includes Marguerite Roberts Josephine Tucker and Fanny Chenshaw. Gwen Priddy and Charlotte Herink are AA presidents.

Students Invited To Tea At Bon Air

The Bon Air Industrial School will entertain Westhampton students for a Sunday tea at 3 p.m. at their Bon Air home. About 120 girls are at the school this year and will each receive a Christmas gift funded by the Westhampton girls. Transportation leaves the Barrier at 2:30 p.m. Sign the cloister list or contact Mary Ann Hubbard to plan attendance.

Forensic Group Announces Richmond Oratorical Contest

The Forensic Council announces the annual oratorical contest at Richmond College and the School of Business Administration. It will be held January 31, 1951, with many participants expected. Orations must be six to eight minutes long and entrants should notify Wellford Estes by January 13, 1951.

Student Directory On Sale This Week At University

The 1950 51 Student Directory is available for twenty five cents at the University. It was sold outside the Student Shop and at class meetings after staff visits to dormitories and barracks. Editor Richard J. Fitz notes the price remains unchanged despite higher costs. The directory lists addresses and phone numbers for faculty administrators and students across Richmond College Westhampton College and affiliated schools.

Sophs and Freshmen Plan Christmas Party for Crippled Children's Home

A joint Sophomore and Freshman meeting in the chapel approved a Saturday Christmas party at the Crippled Children's Home. Clyde Kenyon announced the plan and appointed committees for entertainment led by Doug Clark and Ernest Lumsden and gifts led by Tom Harlan and Roy Cohn. Gifts are to be raised by student contributions with a jar in the slop shop. gifts preferred to money unless necessary. Gifts should be brought to C-11 Jeter Hall.

Formal Yuletide Dinner Set for Monday at Westhampton

Students at Westhampton College will dine by candlelight and music Monday night at 6 30. The formal Yuletide dinner will be served in every dining hall with holly decorations arranged by Miss Freda Webb. Faculty members, guests of the College Government Association, will be received in the Blue Room by senior hostesses prior to dinner.

University Messenger to Feature Parody Edition

The University Messenger will debut a parody edition on Monday with Betty Cather as editor. It features altered Hemingway, Joyce and Parker works, a Karmen spoof, and pieces like The Buzzer and You Are There parodies. The issue aims for a modernist, sly humor tone with diverse contributors.

The World Student Service Fund event at Richmond College was halted after one day of voting as rain ruined posters and pictures. Contest chair Jim Edmonds called the affair a flop with final figures not released, and Jim Payne declared the winner by default.
