Dr Hedley Speaks at Vesper Services
Last Sunday evening the Winter Park Baptist Church heard Rev William Hedley D D deliver a sermon at vesper services. The Westhampton College Glee Club performed with the choir and next Sunday afternoon a 4 30 all musical program replaces the usual vesper. The University Choir and Richmond artists will attend. Scripture will be read by a student and a student will lead prayer. The choir will sing three choruses from Mandel Mesiah replacing a speaker.

Westhampton Student Govt Secures New Light Ruling
The Westhampton student government held a key meeting on December 4 in the Red Cross Building. Attendance was non compulsory, and a record turnout impressed organizers. Miss Lough announced the Kilbourne Farm Christmas boxes tradition and the vote to continue the custom of sending boxes instead of exchanging gifts.

Mortar Board and O D K Meet in First Joint Session
Last night at 8 o clock the Richmond College Omicron Delta Kappa chapter joined Westhampton College Mortar Board for a historic joint meeting. Debating Season Opens With Chain Store Topic
University of Richmond debating team Julian Savage and James Dodd lost to Roanoke and Bridgewater Colleges by two to one. Next week they face the Medical College of Virginia with the same motion that the Chain Store System has proved detrimental to the welfare of our nation.

McPherson Addresses Science Group in New Physics Building
Doctor William McPherson, president of the American Chemical Society and author of textbooks, spoke to the Science Group at the University of Richmond in Richmond Hall on December 5 1930 at 3 PM. He discussed the distinguishing characteristics of present day life and preparation for participation. The lecture drew broad faculty and student attendance and was highly enjoyed.

Successful Junior Senior Prom Shines At Gym Event
The Junior Senior Prom in Roger Milhiser Gym drew praise as one of the season’s top social events. Blue and white decorations created a canopy while Colored lights enhanced the scene. Music by Club Southern Orchestra accompanied the dance, with R. W. Payne Jr, H. A. Stephenson Jr, J. R. Robinson, A. G. Billingsley, Paul Fensom, and Tommy Eubank organizing transportation for Westhampton guests.
