The Richmond College Student Government Association debate proposes abolishing three Athletic Association offices. The amendment would end the offices of president vice president and secretary treasurer from annual officer elections. The Student Senate passed the resolution Friday at 12:90 in a meeting.
The text revokes Amendment I Section 1 and adds that the annual student government election includes a representative from the student body to join the Athletic Council for a year. The SGA president and the elected representative become the official student body representatives on the Athletic Council.
Amendment 1 nullified by proposed addition. Charles Ryland will preside at a December Chapel for discussion. Official voting on Amendment 1 to be held January 15 by secret ballot at an assembly. The Athletic Association may be discontinued with the new amendment. "The Victory Swing" declared official Richmond College song in a Senate meeting.
Applications for special examinations on courses conditioned for the 1984 86 AC and semester will be offered January 3 and 4. Students must apply before college holidays end December 1 and pay two dollars per exam to the treasurer, then present receipts to the dean. This aids the second semester’s last session assessments.

The Richmond College Debate Group resumed after Thanksgiving with a meeting last Wednesday. First time complete debates were held with J T Arendall and Hudson Price arguing for overriding judicial review, Clyde Hardy and Noah Phelps opposing. Veteran members criticized newcomers and worked on rebuttals as George Harper secured material. upcoming trips to the state and the South are being planned for an extensive year.
The Glee Club announces bids extended to 27 new men including Anderson Archer Wangle Brandin Bule Cosby Childress Menning Garthright Griffith Haden Jones Little Loving Motley Nugent Pattashnick Phillips Price Radapinner Renny Sanders Sanger Saunders Stiff Supler Thornton. New quartet selections for Laughale Ban ile Paulette Peek Holloway Arendall Wiiman Madison Rice Curtis Haug were chosen under director Charles Traxell. Officers plan statewide tours and a program adding dramatic readings with Professor Williams assisting.
Dr Rolvix Earlan head of sociology and special ethics spoke at the Y M G A auditorium in Petersburg on Thursday evening on Attitudes Toward the Social Order and then presided at an open forum on modern social problems and conditions.
Westhampton’s steamshovel laments missing crowd as the U of R Senate reshapes publicity. President digs into the earth while students learn via a new bulletin board, promising transparent updates on how the Student Government spends funds and runs meetings. The lack of a public audience is challenged by this fresh channel.
Saturday night at eight features a male quartet and dance act at the Playhouse. The performance promises risqué humor and provocative routines as audiences are urged to spend twenty five cents to see entertainment that shuns propriety and distance from class or age boundaries.
Bob Harris business manager of the Web announced proofs of Richmond College students pictures will be ready before Christmas. Miss Ganes of Merin and Balban Philadelphia will assist in selecting pictures for the 1986 annual and take orders for additional photographs. The first hundred subscribers will have their names printed free in the annual. Subscriptions before January 16 1936 cost 2.00. after that date 3.50. Westhampton pictures will be taken the week starting December 8 as announced by Dr Wheeler president of the Board of Publications.
The Westhampton seniors host a Wednesday December 18 dance directed by Miss Anne Kincannon. Roy Dennis' collegiate orchestra headlines with holly and mistletoe decor and several surprise features. Tickets are urged to be bought from Mildred Myrick, Anne Kincannon, Judith Brodges, Elizabeth Chapman, with proceeds aiding the senior gift fund for a school presentation.
JM Overton Jones and Edward M. Canada Jr. were chosen by the Richmond College Senate for editor and business manager of the Richmond College Messenger. The decision was unanimous. Jones, a junior, has led a busy news career and civic work at Richmond College and John Marshall High.
Dr. R. J. Gaines head of the University of Richmond math department spoke at the Maryland District of Columbia and Virginia division meeting of the Mathematical Association of America held at the University of Maryland College Park. The group, meeting twice yearly, discussed an elementary envelope problem with Dr. Lines presenting.
