Giant Snowman Promises Festive Westhampton Snow Ball

Frosty a 2 foot high snowman will greet Westhampton residents and dates as they enter Keller Hall gym for the annual Snow ball. The event runs 9 to 12 with a blue white winter theme, Mavis band, decorated tables and a mural. Betty Pritchett Mary Goding Claudia Dodson lead decorations and tickets are $2.50 per couple at the door. Linda Frazer chairs the dance sponsored by Westhampton Athletic Association.

Westhampton Orchesis to Join Virginia Dance Festival

Westhampton College will participate in the Virginia College Dance Festival this weekend. Orchesis Junior Orchesis and Westhampton model dance classes attend a master class by Helen Tamaris and Danial Nagrin at 10 a.m. in the Richmond Professional Institute gym. Afternoon sessions move to the Virginia Museum Theater with a 2 15 p.m. Tamaris Nagrin lecture demonstration and college dance presentations from 4 5 p.m. followed by critiques. Westhampton Orchesis performs a poem based piece directed by Foster Robertson with members Judy Carpenter Sylvia Brown Tommy Wolfe Minna Wilson Mildred Tierney Jane Pitts Lynne Stephenson Anne Mills Sandy Smith and Barbara Spiers.

Richmond Senior Bonnie Cox Writes Christmas Letter

Bonnie Cox of the University of Richmond contributes a Christmas letter to the December Intercollegian magazine, addressed to Dr. R J Whyte, inviting student leaders to share concerns and campus issues. Philologians Hear About Education and University Life

Mike Jarrett addressed the Philologian Society on the theory of modern education with a humorous talk. Stuart Medlin gave two brief addresses on various aspects of university life. The society nominated candidates for next semester's officers to be voted on at the January 9 meeting.

Mission Children Guest Party At UR Tomorrow

Fifty Gary Street Mission children aged five to seven will attend a Christmas party in Millhiser Gymnasium at the University tomorrow. Santa Claus, Mr. Nettles, will give gifts donated by campus social fraternities. Miss Viola Saunders says the event always brings merry Christmas to the kids and thanks fraternities for support.

Former Coach Will Address RC Assembly

Mr. M. Jackson Null a former three star at the University of Richmond will address the freshmen sophomores and juniors of Richmond College in assembly Tuesday. Null speaks for the Richmond Captain's Club a group of 50 former Richmond football captains. He led varsity baseball and football teams and later coached at Richmond VMI after graduation.

The Scabbard and Blade Ball was held last Saturday in Millhiser gymnasium. Mrs. Sally Gayle Revere, wife of Cadet Captain Charles Revere, was crowned queen by Colonel Verne Pate, professor of military science at Richmond College.

Ancient and Modern Oligarchy British Historian To Speak Here

Sir Ronald Syme, Oxford professor of ancient history, will speak December 4 at 3 30 pm in Keller Hall on The Study of Oligarchy Ancient and Modern. He authored The Roman Revolution Tacitus and Colonial Elites and has held Fellowships at Trinity College and Oriel College.

The R. C. McDanel Historical Society hosts its fifth anniversary banquet at 6 30 Monday at the Hot Shoppes. Musical Encore Set For Convocation Christmas Glee Clubs
