Kuyk Elected Captain of 1918 Redskin Football Team
Abe banquet giver to the letter men of the 1917 football team at Murphy's Hotel on Wednesday evening, November 28. Goodyn Kuyk, a ten year star halfback on the Spider eleven, was elected captain for the 1918 squad. Kuyk, a junior, has been on the team for three years and was a key ground gainer and defender. He also captains the UWS track team and came from Telmond Academy where he was a noted prep athlete.

Cotillion Club Hosts Delightful Richmond Dance Night
Last Friday the Richmond Cotillion Club ballroom buzzed with forty couples as the club’s fraternal dance, featuring the Comm iny Club of Virginia orchestra, lit up with music from 9 to 12 50. A single long intermission included a three course buffet. Richmond’s finest maids and several Westhampton College guests filled the floor while Coach and Mrs. Frank Dobson kept watch as chaperones, likely their final social in years.
