University of Richmond to Combine Annuals Into One University Yearbook

Plans advance for merging the Spider and the Power from Richmond College and Westhampton with the T C Williams School of Law into a single university yearbook. The move ends earlier splits and will produce a joint volume representing the whole University of Richmond.

Big College Games Set For This Week At Stadium Field

Three key matchups headline the week for the Spider tossers with Catholic University visiting Stadium Field tomorrow and two games against V P I slated for Monday and Tuesday. Fresh from an 8 to 1 loss at Washington the Dobsonites aim to rebound on home soil while Catholics are expected to provide a hard fought contest. The affair will be witnessed by visiting delegates to the Southern Intercollegiate Newspaper Conference.

Southern Intercollegiate Newspaper Conference Opens in Richmond

Delegates from at least seven Southern states arrive as the Southern Intercollegiate Newspaper Conference begins at 10:00 AM in the Y M C A building near Jeter Hall. Dr F W Boatwright welcomes visitors, with Dr John W Cunliffe of Columbia guiding the business round table discussion.

Dr J Holland Rose Delivers 1921 Lectures at Richmond

Dr J Holland Rose of Cambridge University opened the James Thomas Foundation lectures at the University of Richmond on April 18. He spoke on Napolean and His Times and later the League of Nations and Sea Power and the World War. Capacity crowds attended the excursions and his talks reflected his wartime service as a YMCA secretary in France.

Omicron Delta Kappa Elects Nine Members at Chapel

The local circle named eight students and one faculty member, Professor H B Handy, as new members. A brief history of the society was given, and Coach Fr M Dobson welcomed the nine inductees. Formal initiation will occur at a future date.

Spiders versus Indians in debate tonight

The second intercollegiate dual debate of the year features a topic on excluding Japanese laborers from the United States. William and Mary College and the University of Richmond meet at 7:30 p.m. in Richmond College Chapel and in Williamsburgh with the local team to be decided. University of Richmond debaters include Joe Rotella and G. D. Stevens for the negative, C. G. Patterson and Bee Stockton for the affirmative.
