Thirty Candidates Vie For University Class Offices
Thirty students enter races for sophmore junior and senior class posts as election day approaches. Five seniors seek president with Oakley Mackey Ross Gillis Moses among rivals. junior candidates include Kaney Stafford Walsh and others. Freshman president Jeff Somers seeks reelection in sophomore race against Fried man Waranch. Ballots on Tuesday will be computerized at the Computer Center in the Business School with polls open 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Student Center and 11:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. plus 4:15 to 6:30 p.m. at the Refectory.

More than 500 prospective students and parents attended Richmond College New Students Day. Admissions Director Thomas N. Pollard and ROSGA president Artie Sandler called the event a tremendous success and noted letters from seniors showing influence on attendance decisions.

USGA Adopts Three Motions on Budget, Elections, Graffiti Board
The USGA Congress unanimously passed three resolutions last Monday. One requests that the athletic budget be shared with the University of Richmond community. A second allows the USGA Chairman to seek a special election to fill vacancies, with a president advised by the division head appointing if the vacancy occurs in the final three months. The third directs a self expression board between Ryland Hall and the library, the so called graffiti board, with final details pending. The group plans another meeting in the last week of the month, time to be set.

Senate approves seven for RG Honor Council and funds
The Richmond College Senate on Tuesday approved seven nominees for the RG Honor Council. Nominees are Clinton B. Faison, Robert G. Brizendine, Neil Dubin, Mark T. Davis, John M. Daniel III, Daniel F. Haggett, and John W. Reeves. They also unanimously allocated $600 to the UK Interfaith Council for a symposium and $50 to the RO Senior Class for a campus bulletin board.
