Trinkle Wins Intercollegiate Vote Over Tucker in Virginia
A statewide college straw poll indicates State Senator E Lee Trinkle leads Tucker in the governor race by about three to two while Trinkle holds a stronger position in the western counties and Tucker leads in the Seventh Eighth and Tenth districts. The Collegian sponsored survey covered sixteen schools though Emory and Henry and Randolph Macon did not report.

Bardine Addresses W V Students on Caribbean Relations

Anti-Dancing Movement Formed at Westhampton College
A Westhampton College student originates the Alpha Delta Sigma Anti Dancing Society aimed at organizing youths opposed to dancing for wholesome social life. Evelyn Oglesby of Lynchburg and Louise Leachman of Charlottesville joined Virginia Hamilton of Roanoke and Richmond as early organizers. The movement began in late December 1917 and seeks broad publicity.
