Westhampton Sophomore class announces a Clavilux light recital by Thomas Wilfred at Milhiser gym Thursday at 8:00 PM. Lumia art of light forms vibrant visuals as the instrument lights a darkened hall. General admission 50 cents, student rate 36 cents, tickets from sophomores.
The awaited Freshman Sophomore Dance at Millisery Gym features music by Roland Leveque's orchestra. Sophomore president Seabury Stoneburner and freshman president Dave Roland confirm a standout event with high ticket sales and elaborate decorations.

The University of Richmond opened a campus radio outlet with WRNL at a convocat ion service led by Dr Theodore Adams of First Baptist Church of Richmond. William and Mary installed similar facilities. The portable microphones on the rostrum and near the organ will broadcast convocation services to a broader audience and later include student programs and faculty lectures.
At the Student Government Co ed event last Saturday nights the Hospitality Weekend girls shared uneasy feelings about asking boys to dance and described brief exchanges on the floor. A Winchester miss praised a tall courteous gentleman with eyelashes and olive complexion after a dance near the cardboard tower. A Warrenton girl notes Westhampton girls hum a single line from a song, while others wonder about handling partners as the clock nears 2 a.m. The piece ends with an invitation to continue on page 6.

Miss Hilda Yen daughter of the Chinese health minister spoke in chapel last Monday on China’s modernization since 1910 noting road building and interior improvements. She described legal equality for women and warned that Japan’s invasion is a step in its global conquest, with China summoning courage from its 450,000,000 people.
The April 18 issue of The Messenger includes Roy Newton’s lead article on U.S. shipping titled Dry Cleaning the Merchant Marine. Newton, an able bodied seaman with over a year at sea, frames shipping criticism. Other features include Allie Martin on collecting old books and furniture, James Fogg’s demonism in the tropics, George Scheer’s photo analysis, and the P D B prize short story.
Six University of Richmond undergraduates and Thomas W. Ozlin receive Omicron Delta Kappa honors while four Richmonders join Pi Delta Epsilon at tapping in Cannon Memorial Chapel. Ozlin, potential Virginia governor candidate, also serves on the Alumni Council and university board of trustees.
A campus date bureau dubbed Haven for Lonely Hearts invites Richmond College Westhampton and William and Mary Extension students to fill out a form with personal details and mail it for matchmaking. Membership is free, with a 25 cent mailing fee. non Richmond attendees must secure a three-student recommendation. If a date is broken, the member is expelled as a cad.
