Carr Named Outstanding Attorney General at National Meeting
Texas Attorney General Waggoner Carr was named the nation's Outstanding Attorney General by the National Association of Attorneys General at the 60th annual convention in Cleveland. By unanimous vote, the fifty state attorneys general awarded Carr the Wyman Award for advancing the association's aims to improve the United States. The announcement was made by President Jack P. F. Gremillion of Louisiana. The award, first given in 1957, honors the top AG among the states. last year’s winner was Clarence Meyer of Nebraska.
