Weinfeld Wins Trip to Cape Kennedy for Gemini 9 Launch
Bob Weinfeld of Dallas won an all expense paid trip to Cape Kennedy for the Gemini 9 launch next Tuesday. His prize came from bringing in eight new members during April's Dallas Chamber of Commerce spring membership drive. Three others qualified but Weinfeld’s name was drawn at the noon Chamber meeting. He is an Equitable Life underwriter and Richardson Lions Club member, former chairman of the Lions Queen Contest.

Final Rites Held For Rev. Vel D Crosby
Funeral services were held for Rev. Vel D. Crosby 69 of Richardson at the First Methodist Church with burial in Restland Memorial Park. Crosby a 1928 SMU Seminary graduate and longtime Methodist minister served in multiple Texas churches before retiring in 1964 and moving to Richardson. He is survived by a son Dr. Vel D. Crosby of New Orleans and seven grandchildren.
