YMCA Thanks Richardson Citizens for Stamp Drive
The Richardson YMCA reports 1,150 trading stamp books donated by Richardsonites and others totaling 2,875 dollars in cash value plus 350 from the Jaycees and 76.25 from the Y Monettes Car Wash. The drive aims to raise 5,000 dollars for a new bus, with 658 more books needed. Mrs. Lee O. Hopson contributed 17.50 toward the effort.

A one day Swimming Pool Operators School is set for Thursday at the Recreation Center in Richardson. Volunteers March Tonight To Aid Leukemia Research
Eight thousand five hundred volunteers in the Dallas area will canvass homes tonight from 6 to 9 in the Annual Leukemia Society appeal identified by ISI tags. They fund patient care education and worldwide research led by studies such as enzyme therapy under Joseph Roberts. Rex Brack, Dallas Campaign Chairman, urged Richardson residents to support the effort and praised scientists and physicians tackling leukemia.
