Richardson Jaycees survey shows resident support on city issues
The Richardson Jaycees released a community attitude survey of residents on city planning services and transportation. Findings include 60 percent approving city planning and 61 percent favoring a second recreation center with 55 percent backing citywide consolidation and 28 percent in favor of more heavy industry. The survey sampled about one percent of adults by door to door canvassing in late March, highlighting public transport needs and entertainment for teens as priorities while noting high marks for fire, police, libraries, parks, and hospitals. UTD bids open for four major campus buildings in Richardson
Public bid opening for construction of four UT Dallas structures begins Tuesday at 2 p.m. The Liberal Arts Building Library Building Social and Behavioral Sciences Building and Physical Instruction Building will cost an estimated 25 million for Phase 2 plus site work. The Library Building to be 204 260 square feet opens 1975 as admin and student center. Founders North and Berkner Science Teaching Building are in Phase 1 with costs 870 000 and 3.2 million respectively. UT Dallas plans a September 1 1975 changeover to upper level status.
