Richardson CPC Approves Steak & Ale Zoning Request
The Richardson City Plan Commission backed local retail zoning for Steak & Ale at the northwest corner of Spring Valley Road and St. Paul Drive. A public hearing was continued at City Hall after questions about unused portions of the tract, as Steak & Ale plans a restaurant similar to others in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Wounded man walks to police after shooting
John M. Massey walked into the Richardson police building early Wednesday morning after being shot in the 200 block of N Interurban. He was treated at Presbyterian Hospital for two grazing gunshot wounds to the neck and upper chest and released. Police investigate as assault to murder and seek the alleged assailant. A major theft occurred at 2128 and 2131 Poppy Lane with $2200 loss as carpet was removed from two Ray Bowden Construction Co. houses. A broken sliding glass door at a Belt Line Road house caused $200 damage from a large bolt. Two men were arrested at Creekwood Circle with $100 in building materials taken from Fall Creek Dr.

Richardson 4 H Club members prepare for the 1972 Youth Panorama at NorthPark Shopping Center. The all day event runs 9 30 a m to 6 p m featuring exhibits talent show fashion parade horse judging public speaking demonstrations photography horticulture food displays collections small animals bicycle dog science poster contest arts and crafts.
