The American party prepares precinct conventions in eight Richardson and Northwood Hills precincts with Wallace supporters voting at party chairman homes from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. Absentee ballots show rising election fever in county
Absentee voting on the final day for Saturday primaries drew long lines as 2,132 ballots were cast, with 1,850 Democrats and 282 Republicans, a 50 percent rise from any previous primary in the county. Ballots mailed out total 979, nearly matching in person Republican totals. A May 14 mini election for Place 4 on the state delegation remains open.
