Four candidates for state Senate and four for state representative met on Wednesday at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce Meet Your Candidate Luncheon held at Mary Patterson's Twenty-One-Eight Place.
Funeral services set for 2:30 p.m. Friday at Restland Funeral Home for Donald Bishop 39 of Dallas. Officiants are Rev William E Upchurch and Rev Garland Chan of Lake Highlands United Methodist Church. Interment in Restland Memorial Park. Survivors include widow Nancy Ann Bishop son Martin and daughter Margaret all of Dallas. Memorials to Lake Highlands Women's League Scholarship Fund.
The Texas Education Agency seeks 140000 federal dollars for the 1972-73 desegregation technical assistance program, approved March 11 by the State Board of Education, with potential to serve about 400 districts. If ESAP funds of 500 million become law, TEA staff will expand to help schools develop projects and review applications.
