Dr James H Landes Named New Pastor at Richardson First Baptist
Dr James H Landes becomes pastor of Richardson First Baptist Church to begin ministry on Sunday March 24. He previously led First Baptist Birmingham Alabama and headed Hardin Simmons University in Abilene for three years. He also chaired the Baptist General Convention of Texas 1960 to 1962 and led its Executive Board 1958 to 1960. He holds degrees from Ouachita College Southwestern Theological Seminary and doctorates from Baylor Western and Howard Payne. He and wife have daughter Ruth who married W L Pitts Jr and live in Macon Georgia.

RISD Board OKs 4.5 Million Bond Sale
The Richardson Independent School District authorized a 4.5 million bond issuance at a special Monday meeting.
