CAI visitations for Richardson parents planned at district events
Richardson parents and citizens may attend two CAI oriented events this month. On Thursday evening at North Junior High School Jerry Hall will introduce Computer Assisted Instruction and demonstrate student use at terminals. Parents may observe classrooms and try terminals themselves. A planetarium open house is set for March 20 and 27 with 7 and 8 pm viewings, limited to 66 adults per session, with reservations through Mrs. Wolfson or Mrs. Nevegold. Babysitting will be provided at Skyview Elementary. PTA members can earn the Parent and Family Life Education award by attending all three visitations, which are open to all interested observers.

YMCA Camp Grady Spruce program at Richardson YMCA
A Richardson YMCA hosting a Monday evening program at 7 3 to inform about Camp Grady Spruce at Possum Kingdom Lake. Roger Ellison will lead, presenting slides and brochures. Camp offers 10 to 14 day sessions for 8.5 to 17 year olds with water and land activities and a YMCA Christian emphasis.

Reynolds bill delay as ETJ construction rule faces foes
Texas House delayed HB 197 after Rep. Rich ard Reynolds of Richardson and Rep. Hawkins Menefee of Houston faced skeptical questions. The bill would allow cities to extend construction codes into extra territorial jurisdiction ETJ with exemptions for farms existing buildings and certain expansions while adding limits on sewer and water extensions. Stevenson Funeral Held for Local Resident in Texas
Bobby Van Stevenson, 40, longtime Richardson resident, died in a Wednesday automobile crash near Naples Texas. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland. Survivors include wife Janice three children Elizabeth Brian and Alyson and brother Rodney, all of Richardson.

Richardson Police Report Drug Arrests on Friday
Richardson police arrested a 22 year old man for possessing hashish and narcotic paraphernalia and placed him in the city jail. An 18 year old woman and a 20 year old man were arrested on a warrant for alleged cocaine possession and also jailed. Friday activity included burglary investigation and destruction of private property.
