The City Plan Commission will hold an 8 p.m. Thursday public hearing at City Hall to consider two zoning change requests. Neil E. Pask seeks a special permit for a kindergarten and nursery on a tract near Spring Valley Road and GreenVille Avenue amid IM1 industrial zoning, and Howard Sluyter's proposal with Donald Tobin for LRM2 Local Retail District on 2.47 acres at Campbell Road and Central Expressway amid TOM and 1500-M zoning. Owners in the area are urged to attend or submit comments to the commission.

The Christmas Seal Mobile X-ray Unit returns to Richardson Thursday through Saturday with chest X-rays at the City Recreation Center 711 W Arapaho. Hours are 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm. Saturday it goes to Northwood Hills Shopping Center at Spring Valley and Coit Road.
