UTD science fair winner ties water fluoride to obesity questions
15 year old Kimberly Kelley won top honors at Grapevine High and Fort Worth regional science fairs with a University of Texas at Dallas supervised project titled Can Fluoride in Drinking Water Cause Obesity. The study used 60 one month old mice over 42 days to test varying fluoride levels in water.

Richardson police log details two weekend traffic crashes
Weekend incidents include two major traffic accidents in Richardson. A Belt Line crash caused minor injuries. a James Road Weatherred intersection crash sent two people to Presbyterian Hospital. Driver George Brewer 18 failed to stop at a James stop sign. William Rice 62 also involved. Both survived. Additional criminal mischief reports cited paint, shaving cream and tree flocking at 1219 Cloverdale 1300 Cherokee and 1315 Cherokee.
