After 79 hours and five minutes Ray Else won the Richardson Jaycee Community Fair Rocking Chair Marathon taking home 250 dollars and the top prize. Second place went to Kevin Lowe with 79 hours and Craig Bennett finished third at 76 hours five minutes. Wanda Currier 38 was the oldest contestant at 68 hours twenty minutes and seven year old Alan Miley dropped out after 12 hours. The fair drew over 20 000 visitors despite heavy rain with Nostalgia Day Tuesday and a week of events including rock night and Astro World performances.
