Richardson plans new pool programs to boost summer attendance
Richardson Parks and Recreation introduces organized swim sessions at Arapaho Cottonwood Canyon Creek Glenville and Terrace pools this summer. Lap swim runs 8 00 to 9 00 pm at all pools. Game Day on the second and fourth Saturdays from 10 30 am to 1 pm. adults-only times at Glenville and Terrace on select Fridays. early morning jogger swims may be added. dances for juniors and seniors priced admission 1 and pool entry 60 cents. swim tags 8 valid through September 1. under six swim free with adult supervisor.

Richardson Fire Department May Report Shows 2 Injuries and 31,425 Loss
The Richardson Fire Department logged 267 calls in May including 119 ambulance and 132 fire and rescue calls, with 14 non emergency calls and two program requests. Total year calls reached 1,991 as 520 plus man hours were spent on responses. property loss in May was 31,425 dollars, year to date 176,587. There were two May injuries and nine injuries year to date. five vehicle fires, eight home fires, and several other incidents.

Cambodian refugee family adapts after arriving in the United States
In less than a week the Chhert Ly family from Phnom Penh began adjusting to life in Richard son. Chheng Ly and his wife Chheng Ly and their seven children arrived May 31 and are aided by St Lutes Lutheran Church social ministry volunteers. Donations from the congregation support the family as Chheng Ly learns to support them in the U.S.

UT Dallas Summer Session Enrollment Surges Past Record
