Richardson Police Urge Residents to File Vacation Forms
Chief J. W. Golden asks Richardson residents to submit a detailed vacation form when leaving town for more than two or three days. The form lists contact names, addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, vehicle details, and delivery stop preferences to help police monitor homes and locate someone in case of accidents. Lake Highlands youths face federal pot charges in Dallas
Nine juveniles from the Lake Highlands area were charged Friday in Dallas County Juvenile Court with possession of marijuana after a July 4 party in a North Garland vacant house. Garland police seized 15 grams of marijuana as five boys and four girls were arrested in hippie attire. Article continued on Page 8.

Judge Patzig named to Texas Justices of the Peace Education Committee
Dallas County Justice of the Peace George A. Patzig of Precinct 2 which includes Richardson Carrollton Farmers Branch and Addison was appointed to the Education Committee of the Texas Justices of the Peace and Constables Association. The appointment was announced at the association annual conference in Corpus Christi Patzig attended. The group aims to improve citizen services through seminars and discussions for judges and constables with seminars at Texas A&M and at various times throughout the year.
