Missing show dog Misty found after Christmas disappearance
Misty the brown and white show dog belonging to 15 year old Leslie King of Lois Lane was found Tuesday evening January 2 on Spring Valley east of Central Expressway. Neighbors who read the paper recognized her and fed and sheltered her until a reunion with the King family.

Blood bank adds Sunday collections
The Wadley Blood Bank at 9000 Harry Hines will open Sundays in January from 1 to 6 pm to address a severe local blood deficit. Dr Norwood C Hill, director, said the bank is down to about one third of normal levels despite a strong Saturday. He noted January demand due to holiday drops and a heavy surgery schedule, including 26 28 open heart operations needing 15 pints each.
