Postal revenues rise in first year of new U S Postal Service

Mystery airplane case at UTD becomes less mysterious
The mystery airplane landing near the University of Texas at Dallas campus last Tuesday appears not to be a university contruction crew vehicle. The plane owned by Jim Dukes and David Shaver of Houston was rented to David J Haustader of Dallas who could not be found to explain the arrival. He said a legit emergency forced the stop after running low on gas while avoiding Addison Airport and traveling from Houston with his daughter. The incident involved federal aviation authorities and Richardson police as investigators traced the flight path from Shreveport to Dallas.

Mrs Hilma Williams Dies in Richardson
Mrs Hilma A Williams age died Thursday at 440 Grace Richardson. Survivors include daughter Mrs Alan Palmer of Richardson, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services held at Chapel with Rev Robert Carson of the First Presbyterian Church Richardson officiating.

Richardson Man Hurt in Major Friday Morning Crash
Richardson police investigated a major accident Friday morning after William Ray Thompson of 411 Ridgewood Dr sustained lacerations and bruises when his left turn from West Main onto Grove St. pulled in front of an eastbound vehicle. Thompson was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in satisfactory condition. Other calls noted include a VW theft from 815 Sherbrook, found later at Melrose and Waterview Dr, a camera and lenses stolen from Berkner High School band room, and two car break-ins in the 1100 block of Pueblo with nothing missing.
