YMCA boosters and civic leaders in Richardson will launch YMCA Week and the Sustaining Campaign at Canyon Creek Country Club. Campaign chair Wayne Lowe notes a 165 percent membership increase since 1964 and expects sustaining memberships to rise from 615 in 1965 to 1000 in 1966. Two Youths Shot In Local Mishap
Billy Ray Struggs 20 and Allen Ripley Fleming 18 both Dallas residents were reported in good condition after an accidental shooting at Gaston’s Cafeteria in Richardson Heights. They were removing a shell from a .22 revolver when it fired injuring Fleming in the left hand and Struggs in the chest. The pair were taken by ambulance to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas for treatment and X rays found no bullet in Struggs’ chest.
