Miller named Richardson Policeman of the Year
Chester Miller, a leukemia survivor from Morton Texas, was honored as Richardson Police Department’s Policeman of the Year for 1977. He received a 357 Magnum revolver from Richardson Credit Union and had earlier returned to duty after a 1975–76 illness. He serves as a dispatcher and patrol officer and is married to Carla Miller, a fatality investigator.

Richardson police officer K A Laws was treated and released after a patrol car collided with a 1971 Ford driven by a 16 year old Richardson girl at Glen Cove and Arapaho Road. The juvenile faced DWI and stop sign charges. A 26 year old Richardson woman was charged in an alleged Phillips Street rape case. her husband was being sought.
