Robbery cleared as police report cites multiple thefts
Richardson police arrested former employee Steven E. Pop on theft over 50 charges after the KFC robbery on Arapaho December 3. The weeklong report lists numerous thefts from garages, apartments, and businesses including a wedding ring, power tools, an air compressor, a boat parts set, two portable TVs, and cash from a Main Street service station.

Dallas bottler gives away cyclamate sugar free drinks
Royal Crown in Dallas donated much of its cyclamate sugar free stock as the ban takes effect. President Jack Rieves says about 180 000 16 ounce bottles, from 7500 cases, were given away to diabetics and medical clinics at $1 per case deposit, with no health questions asked. He laments HEW handling of the ban and notes other bottlers elsewhere offered free drinks.
