City to Pave Several Roads in 1976 Plans
City Engineer Bert Elsey outlined paving projects for 1976. Abrams Road from Spring Valley to Walnut will be paved in segments with two lanes during work, Belt Line from St Johns to near Jupiter Road widened to six lanes with two lanes usable, and Lookout Drive extension to Owens transfer site plus Owens Boulevard paving. Bid dates target next spring for Belt Line widening and February for Spring Valley work, with completion hoped by next July and May for adjacent sections.

City Council Prepares Year End Agenda Plans Many Hearings
The 1975 year end council meeting will include one public hearing resumed, two new hearings, and several zoning and ordinance items. Opponents near Richland Park oppose a 149 home patio project on 27.66 acres and seek a three fourths vote. The council will also consider C M commercial zoning at Polk and Greenville, a waiver, amendments to allow municipal facilities in any zoning district, a temporary use permit for industrial facilities, and tighter gasoline pump restrictions. Also on the agenda are plats, a variance, sidewalk easement from Vantage Properties, November bills, and bids for city equipment.
