The Richardson YMCA launches its 1973 Sustaining Campaign led by chairman Jim Nolan with a 300‑strong volunteer crew. The goal is 55000 dollars, about 30 percent of local YMCA income, to sustain quality programs in Richardson rather than fund a new building. kickoff banquet is Jan 23 at Richardson High School. Richardson police investigated a burglary two thefts and property damage Wednesday. Jan Frum of First United Life Insurance reported a burglary at 725 S Central Expressway with items valued at 150 dollars. Eugene Hawk at 803 Greenhaven said his 1962 Chevrolet worth 250 dollars was stolen from his home. George Gunter of 307 Stonebridge reported a tire and wheel assembly stolen, loss 75 dollars. Jack Gibson Jr. of 1224 Ottawa Circle reported a cut vinyl top on his auto causing 95 dollars damage.
