Sorority gives first library donation to Richardson
The Sigma Delta Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha presented the Richardson Library Board with the first in a series of Christmas gifts to buy books and supplies. The chapter formed in November 1968 and began fundraising this summer for the library. Additional funds will come from future project proceeds as construction of THE NEW LIBRARY, part of the Civic Center on Arapaho Road near North Central Expressway, aims to open next summer.

The Texas Highway Department launches a computerized, simplified 1970 motor vehicle registration. Over seven million vehicles are expected to register with new color license plates, mailed renewal notices, and three part renewal forms. Owners may renew by mail or in person with a March 1 cutoff for mail and a February 1 start.
