Beauties to Ride in Ninth Cotton Bowl Parade
The Cotton Bowl Festival Parade on New Year’s Day will showcase a record beauty queen lineup on 23 floats and bands. Deborah Bryant Miss America rides in a Sweetheart of the Nation float, with 1966 Maid of Cotton and Miss Teenage America Colette Daiute in other high profile floats. San Antonio Fiesta Queen Molly Denman and King Antonio XLIII Walter Corrigan will appear on a revival float, plus Miss Texas Mary Lou Butler and Lana Jo Wallace, among many others. The event streams coast to coast on CBS from 9:30 to 10:30 am and draws an audience of over 40 million with free admission at the State Fair Grounds.
