Christmas tree fire at 529 Vernet injures resident
Richardson firefighters responded to 529 Vernet for a burning Christmas tree sparked by new lights. Mrs. Freeman sustained minor burns carrying the tree outside. she extinguished it with garden hose. Weaver at 2105 Flat Creek Drive for best overall display featuring animals and a carol singing Santa. Richardson High students stage 23 mile Christmas relay to Frisco
Richard son High physical education instructor Abe Spangler led 23 runners in a one mile relay from the school to Lebanon Baptist Church in Frisco delivering gifts, clothes and food donated by RHS students and staff. Pastor Banks Dishmon and an 80 member church family accepted the gifts and helped distribute them to local families.
