Richardson Police Arrest Woman In Santa Costume Incident
A Richardson woman dressed in a red Santa outfit was detained at Richardson Heights Shopping Center after approaching St Paul the Apostle School and offering Christmas wishes. She was released to her husband. Police also logged weekend thefts, a burglary at 314 Martha Manor, a damaged trunk and stolen CB radio, plus multiple arrests including a DWI suspect at Preston Road and the LBJ Freeway. A parole violator was remanded to state authorities.

Salvation Army to Bring Christmas Cheer to Dallas County Residents
The Salvation Army opens a three day Toy and Food Shop at the Varied Industries Building in Fair Park giving 17 000 toys 1300 pairs of shoes and 3 000 checks for dinners to underprivileged Dallas County residents. Lt. Colonel Paul Thronburg will lead carols at the start with 400 people in attendance. Families apply in advance and receive checks sized by family size to purchase groceries.
