Richardson Hospital Authority signs contract for new five story hospital
The Richardson Hospital Authority and J A Jones Construction sign a five story hospital contract at 401 W Campbell Rd for a 116 bed facility to replace the Spring Valley Road hospital. The site valued at 1.2 million will be debt free and the building totals about 6 million including equipment and fees. Completion is planned for August 1977 with expansion to 400 to 500 beds later if needed.

Lottery Draw Sets Short Term JP Seats in Dallas Precinct
Dallas County commissioners used a lottery to assign two JPs in a merged precinct to short term posts. Judge Lloyd Russell drew Place 2 for Precinct 2, while George Fatzig drew Place 1 for Richardson.
