Richardson Post Office braces for last minute Christmas mail surge
Fifteen extra employees have been hired as area mail volume rises about 18 percent over last year. Postmaster George Kemp notes daily overtime and long hours for staff as mail through the office climbs, with packages rising ahead of letters beginning Thursday. He cautions last minute mail should move to avoid delays and predicts volume will drop next week with Saturday deliveries normal or below. Continued on Page 9.
