The Richardson hospital will move its nuclear medicine and ultrasound equipment to an unused obstetrics delivery room at a cost of about 1000. The change aims to reduce heat and improve layout. The board also revises the budget including a four dollar room-rate hike and a minimum wage adjustment.
Richardson ISD Food Service Advisory Council discussed improving cafeteria cleanliness and replacing disappearing water glasses. Students and administrators reviewed menu options and the Type A lunch guidelines while exploring volunteer programs with RHS and other campuses.
A 35 year old Richardson man suffered neck injuries after a rear end collision on the northbound service road of North Central Expressway. A second crash sent his car into a ditch and a Dallas man fled but was later arrested after a resident copied a license plate. The suspect, 43 year old Billy Ray Wilson, was treated for minor injuries at BB Owens Hospital and admitted for observation. Four hubcaps valued at 705 dollars were stolen from four cars at Pearce High School. Five hubcaps worth 140 dollars were reported missing from a vehicle on Winchester Drive. Five juveniles, aged 14 to 15, were taken into custody by Richardson police for criminal trespassing.
The Texas Railroad Commission ordered rate cuts and refunds on Lone Star Gas Co and rivals but Dallas officials say refunds will be years away. Lone Star and associates warn court delays may prevent any immediate reimbursements while disputes over long term contracts and gas delivery continue. The companies may seek court orders to block the order and appeal windows give them at least 15 days to respond. Lone Star notes its supply comes mainly from Lo-Vaca and Coastal with potential damages claimed at over 213 million in a 1975 dispute.

The Richardson area will have mostly fair and mild weather with an overnight low in the mid-40s. Friday’s high is expected in the lower 70s with southerly winds 5 to 15 mph shifting to northerly late Friday.
