Officials warn residents to cool ashes for several days and avoid placing combustibles in regular trash trucks to prevent fires. Jeff George became the Daily News contest’s first winner by selling 20 subscriptions to Richardson residents. The Greenwood Hills Elementary student started mid November, knocking on Canyon Creek and Northrich doors then calling friends to reach the goal, earning a brand new Sting Ray bike. He said many prospects seemed ready to buy but then declined. He lives with his parents at 704 Brentwood.
