Deathwatch traffic safety drive targets 47 Texas deaths
Texas Department of Public Safety launches Operation Deathwatch from December 23 to 26 and December 30 to January 2 aiming to limit holiday traffic fatalities to about 47 in the first period and 36 in the New Year period. About 150 extra troopers will enforce safety while DPS reports progress to media three times daily.
