Tennis center policies approved in Richardson
The Richardson City Council approved operating policies for the new Huffhines Park tennis center and ratified a contract with tennis pro Martin W. Halpern. The center will operate seven days a week except inclement weather and holidays. Regular hours are 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Picture Lady art history program debuts at James Bowie Elementary
The PTA introduces a cultural arts program labeled the picture lady at James Bowie Elementary. Gun theft reported at 1320 Cottonwood address
Tom Means reported to police Tuesday that unknown persons forced entry his home at 1320 Cottonwood and took guns valued at 2375 dollars. In a separate report Gibson's Department Store manager said a young shoplifter was apprehended after attempting to steal items worth 8.66 dollars. the youth was released to parents under the First Offender Program.
