Northern California hatchery workers told a remarkable tale of a 14 inch silver salmon named Indomitable that swam from the Pacific into Redwood Creek, Prairie Creek, up a drainage, through a pipe and past barriers to reach its spawning tank at Humboldt County’s Prairie Creek hatchery. The fish bears the hatchery mark by its missing adipose fin and suffered a bashed nose but remained healthy.
A Delmont 1200 block resident reported to police Thursday that a rock was thrown at her home, breaking a 34 by 76 inch plate glass door. The incident occurred in a residential area and photo evidence may be sought. Potential suspects are not yet identified.
