Three Arrests in Armed Robbery Case at Richardson 7 11
Richardson police say three Plano youths were arrested Wednesday in connection with last Saturday’s armed robbery at the Belt Line and Frances Way 7 11 store. Two suspects aged 17 and 18 are held at the County Jail, while a 15 year old is in Juvenile Division custody. additional arrests include a 19 year old on two warrants and a 15 year old shoplifter, plus two girls aged 13 and 14 held for juvenile delinquency and truancy.

Funeral services were held at Restland Memorial Chapel for Robert G. Harris Sr., 513 Lexington Lane, who died Wednesday. He leaves widow Amy E. Harris of Richardson, sons Robert G. Harris Jr. of Plano and James E. Harris in the Marines in Viet Nam, sisters Don ald Prast of Benville Illinois and Thomas C. Gillis of Kokomo Indiana, and two grandchildren Duane and Charlene Harris of Plano. Rev Leighton Farrell officiated. Interment followed at Restland.

Richardson 66 areas vote on 1 cent sales tax
Richardson joins Dallas and 65 Texas cities in Tuesday elections on a one percent city sales and use levy. Across Texas, dozens more cities plan votes before year end or in December, with 35 municipalities already approving the tax since the act took effect. In Richardson, officials project the tax would add about $4.54 per resident annually and more than $190 000 each year to the city’s general fund, reducing pressure on property taxes.

Plans Begin for Annual Toys for Tots Project
For the eleventh year Richardson Elementary schools host Operation Toys for Tots December 18 19 under Lt Colonel Alfred J Croft with Santa arriving by helicopter to collect gifts. Marine trucks will deliver toys to a Dallas distribution center while parents and children are urged to donate wrapped gifts labeled with contents age and gender.

Free Mobile X ray Unit Visits City This Week
The Dallas TB Association and Christmas Seals fund a free chest X ray service at Richardson Heights Shopping Center on Monday and Tuesday. Hours vary from 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and 12 noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday. The program urges annual X rays for adults over 15 to detect chest illnesses including cancer heart disease emphysema and tuberculosis.
