The 5320 square foot brick station will house two engines, kitchen, dormitory for nine, classrooms, and a training office with headquarters at the site. Architects are Pierce Lacey and Associates of Dallas. bids due by Thursday 2 p.m.. construction to begin about three weeks after contract award if approved.

City To Be Target For Mosquito Spray
Low-flying U S Air Force planes will spray Richardson and adjacent areas early tomorrow with methion, a chemical that kills Culex mosquitoes carrying encephalitis. Bee-keepers are advised to protect hives. Other treated areas include Farmers Branch, Addison, Sachse, Grand Prairie, Irving, Coppell, Cedar Hill and Duncanville. The epidemic was first disclosed August 9 by Dallas Health Director Hal J. Dewett.
