City okays Rowlett Creek levee plan near Richardson
The Water Development Board approved Richardson's levee project on Rowlett Creek in Collin County to protect the Brumit sanitary landfill. The site lies about six miles northeast of Richardson, 1,000 feet downstream from the earlier Plano levee. Officials say the new levee is structurally safe and should not significantly raise flood risk.
