Love for bicycles ends in death of Milwaukee girl
Milwaukee 11 year old Janette Kruzycki loved biking and swimming. After vanishing last Friday a six state alert was issued and police found her body in a storm sewer near the Kinnickinnie River. A 15-year old boy confessed to killing her with rocks after luring her with a tale of a two person bicycle. A second teen, 16, was not involved in the slaying. A judge adjourned the hearing for the 15-year old until August 19 for further investigation.

Nine year old Rita Racette of Springfield was riding in a stalled car under a railroad overpass during heavy rain when she slipped and fell into a rain swollen storm sewer. She rode 75 feet through the underground pipe and dumped into the Willimantic River, then swam to safety. Police say she survived after a perilous river crossing.
