Robert J L Browning Jr MD has been appointed City Health Officer to advise the City Health Department. A seven year Richardson resident Dr Browning practices family medicine locally and previously served as assistant medical director for Western Electric in Oklahoma City. He holds BS and MD from University of North Carolina, interned at University of Arkansas, studied occupational medicine at University of Oklahoma, and held a Smith Kline foreign fellowship in Nigeria in 1961. He served in the US Navy Medical Corps 1963 to 1965 and is active in Dallas County Medical Society, Richardson Young Life Committeeman, and Phi Chi. He and wife Sarah have two children.
