Winners Of Alley Week Celebrate In Richardson
Residents along the alley bounded by Scottsdale Downing Weatherred and Floyd Road honored their title as the cleanest alley in town during Alley Week. About 300 guests enjoyed The Chosen Few band and dances like the Monkey and Watusi. Volunteers from L S Food Mart Golden Eagle and Rich ardson Realtors fed and hosted the event with support from City Councilman Buck Buchanan and Mayor Herb of the Chamber of Commerce. Police guarded entrances and the Fire Department provided lighting as the community celebrated teamwork and civic pride.

Teenpower in Richardson will operate year round to assist teens with employment. Since opening earlier this year the volunteer staffed office has placed over 400 youths in jobs including babysitting yard work and permanent part time roles as clerks and typists. The 37 volunteers staff the office weekdays 8 30 to 12 30, with more volunteers to be added when school starts.

Southern Methodist University announced sixteen new faculty appointments effective for the fall term. In the School of Business Administration, John W.
